December

Welcome to the best month of the year. Yes, it's that one that I've plastered above in front of a heap of balloons; 'tis December. It's the month to boogie. I know you don't necessarily need a reason to dance but there's SO MANY reasons to dance every December. So, I thought I'd share a few of my favourite songs to boogie to at the moment. I've said boogie far too much at this stage, but please do so as you listen to the ~tunes~ featured below. Happy 1st! :)

Schoolin' Life

I am officially a graduate! I'm particularly proud of this title as the whole college experience wasn't the most enjoyable thing for me; mostly due to not knowing what to do with the rest of my life and the anxiety that came with that. However, I did make an amazing bunch of friends, spent a dream-like year in the south of Spain with people that will always hold a special place in my little hearteen, read some fascinating books and learnt more of and about a language than I ever thought I would.

Graduation day itself was pretty damn good. My sister, Aoife, took some gorgeous photos which I'll be forever grateful for. Yummy food was eaten, vino was drank and the jives were jived. To top it all off, my dress cost me a fiver. Yep, €5. Thank you once again Once Loved Showroom!

With that day over, I feel like I'm back on track. On To The Next One, as my good friend, Jay, would say.

Happy Graduation to all! Sending you all my love and good vibes,

The Great American Outdoors

I love The Parent Trap. And, yes...as a child I did believe that Lindsay Lohan was two different people. What stood out to me the most in that movie was how their camping environment was better than my camping area with Scouts ever would be. Everything was so green and lovely, quite like Ireland, but on a whole other level. Then there was the Oprah episode where herself and Gayle head off to Yosemite and enjoy Moscow Mules al fresco in the most idyllic looking campsite. Good times in fabulous weather with your best friends in the great outdoors? Yes please! Inspired by these two lovely women, I made it a must that I visited Yosemite and Lake Tahoe whilst in the US of A. Also, why not experience the insane thunderstorms and desert heat of Las Vegas at the age of 21 to end the summer of 2014 with some of the best people I've ever spent a summer with? Again, a humongous yes. please.

YOSEMITE

We did Yosemite in a day. As in we drove from Berkeley to Yosemite National Park, saw everything and drove home again. Looking back, I don't know how we did it but we did. I think prioritizing what we wanted to see was what made it a highly successful day. We swam in the river, saw the results of forest fires and witnessed some of the most spectacular views. Glacier Point was my heaven. I've never seen anything so beautiful.

LAKE TAHOE

It's safe to say Lake Tahoe was not as successful as Yosemite even though we stayed there overnight. The day we arrived there was a massive thunderstorm. At one point the power went from a massive supermarket we were in buying supplies for our camping trip. No s'mores were made. A sad, sad day. We did make up for it the next day when we decided to rent a boat and one of those inflatable things you hop on and drag off the back of the boat. That was mental altogether.

LAS VEGAS

Las Vegas was insane as you expect it to be. Everything is to the extreme. It's absolutely brilliant. In summary, Vegas was a happy blur. Sin é.

To finish; thank you Lindsay and Oprah.

I ♥ SF

Why, hello there! I'm back at the blogging game after a summer spent having too much fun. San Francisco was amazing as expected. Whilst there, I travelled to Yosemite National Park, Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas before heading east to spend some time in Boston and New York. To catch up on things, I wanted to post some of my favourite photos from California.

At the moment, I'm settling back into Galway life; working, spending time with friends and family and graduating!

For now, some pictures taken by moi.
